A little about me
My name is Marcus, and I am a physiotherapist and owner of Fysio Fanø – a local and flexible clinic based on Fanø.
I have a solid background with experience from both private practice as well as municipal and hospital practice.
Fysio Fanø is a local clinic with flexible solutions. I offer both outpatient treatment and group training throughout Fanø.
In addition to the clinic, I have another job, so times are flexible. Please send a text, email or call - and we will find a solution that suits you.
I believe that the best treatment occurs in collaboration with you – and that security, presence and patience create the best results.
My path to physiotherapy
My interest in the body began early. With more than 13 years of experience in strength training, combined with my professional background as a physiotherapist, I have a solid understanding of the body's anatomy and the interaction of muscles.
I am passionate about helping others become stronger, move better and live their everyday lives with less pain – regardless of whether the goal is rehabilitation, prevention or physical progress.
I have been strength training since 2012 and today have over 13 years of practical experience with physical training. That experience, combined with a physiotherapy education, has given me a deep understanding of muscles, joints and movement – both theoretically and through my own body.
During my education, I have gained special knowledge about neurology, musculoskeletal problems and cardiopulmonary physiotherapy.
Fysio Fanø – your local partner in health
I plan to live on Fanø in the very near future with my fiancé, who was born and raised on the island. We are both committed to local life, and Fysio Fanø was built with the desire to make physiotherapy easily accessible, down to earth and effective – regardless of whether you are a permanent resident, holidaymaker or temporary resident.
The training and treatment take place on your terms – either at your home, in Fanø Hallen or in the training room.
My goal is simple:
That you will move forward well – stronger, safer and with greater freedom in everyday life.

Educational experience
Below you can get an overview of the professional experience I have gained during my physiotherapy training.
The timeline shows the breadth of my skills – from hospital wards and specialized rehabilitation, to team training and pool training – which forms the foundation for the physiotherapist I am today.
2019
Start of physiotherapi education
UC Syd - Esbjerg
Early 2021

Clinical Authorization
2023
Authorized Physiotherapist
Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, (B.Pt)
End of 2021

Early 2022

End of 2022

During my physiotherapy training, I have gained broad clinical experience from hospitals, municipal health centers and rehabilitation environments. I have worked with orthopedic surgery, medical patients, neurological rehabilitation, stroke, pool training and cardiopulmonary resuscitation – both individually and in multidisciplinary programs.
My practical experience ranges from individual courses to interdisciplinary team trainings and includes both acute and chronic issues.
2023
Authorized Physiotherapist
Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, (B.Pt)
Fanø Health Center | Temporary physiotherapist
The Danish Heart Association | Physiotherapist
Private association | Physiotherapist
Esbjerg Swimming Stadium | Physical Trainer for Elite Swimmers
Fysio Fanø ApS
After my authorization, I have gained experience with both individual treatment and team training - including as a physical trainer for elite swimmers, physiotherapist at the Danish Heart Association and teacher at outdoor teams.
My temporary position at Fanø Sundhedshus in particular gave me a close insight into the island's needs and the value of a local, flexible solution. This was the starting point for Fysio Fanø ApS – created to offer physiotherapy on Fanø's terms: present, professional and accessible.
